Walk up, pick the thermometer from your kit and use it on the right person to score points. Don't Flatline is a hospital simulator game you play in first person in the Roam app on iPhone, with a five-day shift, a wallet and a tool bar full of gear.

A shift, step by step

Drag on the left to walk and drag on the right to look around.
Read the task at the top, like Take Elio's temperature.
Pick the right tool from the bar at the bottom.
Tap the hand button to use it on the patient and earn points.
Finish the day's work and come back for the next of five days.

Is this hospital simulator game hard?

It asks for attention more than reflexes. The trick is matching the task to the right patient and the right tool. Grab the wrong one and you waste time while the room keeps waiting.

The first day is gentle and teaches the controls with on-screen hints. The day counter in the corner shows how many days are left, so you always know how far the shift has to go.

Many doctor games are close-up surgery scenes or kids' check-ups. Don't Flatline puts you on your feet in a room, walking between chairs, more like a job sim than a minigame.

It is light and goofy. The hospital mascot is a heart wearing a bandage, the place is called Good Grief General, and nothing gets graphic. The stakes are your points and your wallet.
