If you like Papers, Please or Airport Security
Papers, Please made checking documents tense. Airport Security on mobile made scanning bags a game. Airport Security Scanner sits between them: you inspect what comes through and decide what gets in.
The focus is the X-ray. You are not checking passports or talking to travelers. You are reading shapes on a screen. It is its own game made on Roam, not either of those.
Tips for an airport scanner game shift
Rotate every bag at least once. Some items are only clear from another angle, which is why the rotate control is there.
Do not flag out of nerves. A clean bag flagged is still a wrong call, so look before you tap.
For careful inspectors
It is a good fit for players who like slow, careful inspection games and spot-the-difference puzzles. It is calm and solo.
If you have ever wondered what the agent at the belt is looking at, this is a calm, game-sized version of that job. Each bag is a small puzzle, and a good shift is a long run of right calls.
