Play free nowThe first order comes from the Snowbottom Republic: two Pop-Guns, with 1:20 on the clock. You drive a forklift around a top-down weapons factory, park on the glowing Barrel pad, feed the line and get the finished goods to the Ship zone. Profit buys upgrades like Faster for $130 or a New line for $700. Kaboom Works is a weapon factory game about running the floor yourself, played in the Roam app on iPhone.
Running the factory floor
- Drag to drive the forklift; tap the lightning button to boost.
- Park on the glowing pads to pick up parts, starting with the free Barrel pad.
- Bring parts to the line, use the Test-fire zone, and deliver finished weapons to Ship.
- Fill the order before the timer runs out, then spend coins on faster or new lines.
What you are managing
- Timed orders from places like the Snowbottom Republic
- A forklift with a boost for rush deliveries
- Zones to buy: Faster for $130, New line for $700
- Conveyor lines and a crane on a tidy top-down floor
How it compares to other factory tycoon games
Most factory tycoon games are idle: you buy a machine and watch numbers go up. Kaboom Works puts you in the driver's seat. The forklift is your hands, and nothing moves unless you move it.
That makes it closer to a delivery rush than a spreadsheet. You still upgrade and expand, but every order is a short race against the clock.
Tips for your first orders
Ignore the price labels at first and follow the glowing pad. The game shows the next step when you need it.
When you have spare coins, look at the Faster upgrade first. It costs far less than a new line.
A weapon factory game with a sense of humor
Nothing about Kaboom Works is grim. The orders are for Pop-Guns, the buyers are places like the Snowbottom Republic, and the factory looks like a toy set.
That light tone suits the gameplay. Driving a forklift against the clock is closer to a delivery game than a war game, and the fun is in a clean route from pad to line to Ship.
