How to grow your serpent

Drag anywhere on the left side of the screen to steer.
Eat glowing orbs to grow longer and raise your score.
Hold Boost for a burst of speed.
Use the minimap to find open space and rivals.
Fill the depth bar to dive deeper, starting with Dive to Depth 2.

Depths: a progress bar that takes the arena deeper as you grow.

Neon Serpent Arena vs other games like Slither.io

Slither.io made the snake arena a hit in 2016: eat glowing pellets, grow long, boost to cut rivals off and make them crash into your body. Snake.io brought the same idea to phones with bright colors. Neon Serpent Arena plays the same way, with steering, a boost and a leaderboard.

Two things are different. The rivals are bots, so you never wait for a server, and the arena has depths. Instead of only chasing the top spot, you fill a bar and dive to the next depth.

Tips for a longer snake

Grow before you fight. Early on, stay out of the way of bigger serpents and eat the orbs in quiet corners.

Boost to escape or to cut across a rival's head, not to travel. Use the minimap to spot quiet areas full of orbs when the center gets crowded.

Watch your best score after each run. Beating it is often a better goal than first place on the leaderboard.
