Mrs. Plum's order card is pinned up: Plum's Party Starter, frost it Blush Pink. Sweet Orders: Cake Studio is one of those cake decorating games where each customer wants something specific, and you play it in the Roam app on iPhone. Drag across a 3D sponge cake on a turntable to frost it, then pipe and sprinkle to match the order. Coins and stars come in for every cake that leaves the studio looking right.

Making a cake to order

  1. Read the order card to see the color and style the customer wants.
  2. Pick a frosting color from the swatches.
  3. Drag on the cake to frost it, and use the slider to spin the turntable.
  4. Switch between spatula, piping bag and sprinkles in the tool slots.
  5. Finish the cake to earn coins and stars.

What makes it cozy

  • A soft, realistic 3D cake in a warm little kitchen.
  • Named customers with their own orders.
  • Three tools to start, plus a locked fourth slot to unlock.
  • A Skip button if you just want to move to the next order.

If you like Papa's Cupcakeria

Papa's games taught a generation to read a ticket and get every topping right. Sweet Orders: Cake Studio uses the same order loop, but slows it down for decorating. There is no lunch rush and no stack of tickets. You get one cake at a time, in 3D, on a turntable you can spin.

That makes it closer to cake decorating games for adults who want something calm, while the order cards still give each cake a goal.

Tips for five-star cakes

Spin the turntable while you frost so the color covers every side. Finish frosting before piping, since piping on bare sponge looks patchy. Read the order card twice: color matters most. There is a locked fourth tool slot too, so there is more to come after the first orders.

Cake decorating games for a slow evening

Some cake decorating games feel like a speed test. This one is closer to a craft. The studio is quiet, the cake is soft and realistic, and you can turn it around to check every edge before you call it done.

If you remember the old cake maker games on a family computer, the idea is the same: make something pretty and see it come out right. Here every cake also answers a real order from a named customer.
