Bend the Light is a light reflection puzzle game in the Roam app on iPhone. Drag a mirror into the beam to bend it, line up the angle and hit the planet to wake it. Level 1 is called first light, and it teaches the idea with a single mirror and an animated hand.
How to bend the beam
- Drag a mirror from the tray onto the board.
- Place it in the path of the beam to change its direction.
- Line the reflected beam up with the planet to wake it.
- Tap the lightbulb for a hint if you are stuck.
- Solve the level to earn stars and move on.

A light reflection puzzle game you can read at a glance
Light reflection puzzles have been around for a long time because the rule is easy and the solutions are satisfying: a mirror turns a beam, and you plan the path. Bend the Light keeps the board small and clean so you can see the whole puzzle at once.
There is no timer. You can try a mirror, watch where the beam goes and move it again until the planet lights up.
The space theme makes it pretty to look at, too. Waking a planet on the dark board is a small, clear reward for getting the angle right.
Tips for mirror puzzles
Work backward from the planet. Ask where the beam would need to come from to hit it, then place a mirror there. Remember that the beam bounces at an angle, so a mirror one square off sends it in a very different direction.
Use the lightbulb hint only after you have tried a couple of placements. Most early levels click once you see the angle.
