A windmill, a dirt road and four heroes with their backs to you: that is the first screen of Celestia Road. It is an auto battle RPG, so you tap Fight and the party handles the swords, staff and bow while the stage plays out. Win and the road goes on, chapter by chapter, from the Verdant Fields toward Celestia. You play it in the Roam app on iPhone, and it suits short breaks better than long sessions.

One button, many stages

  1. Read the stage goal at the top, such as Defeat the enemies ahead.
  2. Tap the big Fight button in the bottom-right corner to start the battle.
  3. Watch your four heroes fight on their own.
  4. Follow the row of stage icons to see what comes next on the road.
  5. Clear each stage to move further toward Celestia.

What you get on the road

  • A painted fantasy meadow with a windmill, pine trees and a castle in the distance.
  • A party of four: an armored knight, a white-robed mage, a red-coated swordsman and an archer.
  • A stage track along the bottom that shows the fights still ahead.
  • Chapter bosses, including an ogre, a dragon and a dark king.

If you like AFK Arena

The idea is close: heroes fight for you, you push stage after stage, and the fun is in watching the battles roll. Celestia Road keeps it simpler, with one party of four and a single road instead of a big roster to collect.

It also leans on the trip itself. Every chapter is a named place, and each stage has a title like Roadside Scuffle, so it feels like a journey rather than a list of levels.

Who this auto battle RPG is for

It fits players who like fantasy art and want something to tap through while the TV is on. Battles need one tap and no aiming, so it works fine one-handed on a couch.

If you want to steer every hit yourself, this is not that game. You mostly decide when to fight, and the heroes do the rest. That is the whole appeal for some players and a dealbreaker for others.

It also makes a calm pick after a long day. The painted art does a lot of the work, and the chapter names give you a reason to see what the next stretch of road looks like.

Celestia Road FAQ
