Play free nowIt is 12 AM, Night 1, and you are alone at a pizzeria security post with a CRT monitor, a fan and a battery at 99%. Dead Feed is a security guard horror game in the Roam app on iPhone, in the spirit of Five Nights at Freddy's. Your tools are a torch, the shutters and the cameras. Every one of them drains the battery, about 2.1% every 10 seconds. Use them too much and you are in the dark. Use them too little and something gets in. Hold out until 6 AM.
Surviving the shift
- Drag the look joystick to turn and check the office.
- Tap torch to light up a doorway.
- Tap cameras to watch the feeds around the pizzeria.
- Close the shutters when something gets close.
- Keep the battery alive until the clock hits 6 AM.
What makes the night long
- A battery that drains while you use your tools.
- A moody 3D office with posters, a fan and a camera monitor.
- Answering-machine messages that set up each night.
- A clock that crawls from 12 AM to 6 AM.
A security guard horror game in the FNAF style
Five Nights at Freddy's made the security office one of the scariest rooms in games: a few tools, a power meter and something moving on the cameras. Dead Feed is built on the same rules. You manage torch, shutters and cameras on a battery that keeps falling, and the night is won by surviving, not fighting.
It is a fan of the formula, not a copy of the characters. The pizzeria, the messages and the night are its own.
The answering machine lines at the start of each night set the scene, the way the phone calls do in the original.
Tips for Night 1
Listen to the answering machine at the start. It explains the shift. Do not leave the cameras open: flick through them, then close the monitor to save power. Use the torch in short bursts.
Shutters cost battery too, so close them only when you have a reason. Watching the percentage is half the game.
