Kaiju Rampage: City Breaker is one of those kaiju games where you play the giant, and it runs in the Roam app on iPhone. Stomp through Coral Bay's coastal downtown, swipe skyscrapers apart, roar and charge your breath beam. The first objective is the shore batteries: 3 guns on the coast that shoot back.
Kaiju controls
- Drag the left stick to walk the kaiju through the city.
- Tap stomp to crush what is at your feet.
- Tap claw swipe to smash buildings in front of you.
- Hold the breath beam to charge it, then let it rip.
- Roar, then take out all 3 shore batteries to clear the objective.
What makes it a spectacle
- A big 3D city of skyscrapers, roads and a park to destroy.
- Four monster moves: stomp, claw, roar and breath beam.
- A news-style LIVE feed and mission lines as you go.
- Shore batteries that fight back, so it is not just free smashing.
If you like Rampage
Rampage made being the monster an arcade classic: climb, punch, and watch the city fall. Kaiju Rampage: City Breaker takes the same idea into 3D. You walk a full city as a giant lizard and choose what to break next.
The shore batteries add a goal on top of the chaos. They shoot at you, so you have to decide when to smash buildings for points and when to go after the guns.
Every block you flatten adds to the score, so the city itself is the scoreboard. A park, a road or a row of towers all count.
Kaiju games tips for Coral Bay
Head for the coast early. The shore batteries hurt over time, and the sooner they are down, the more freely you can wreck downtown. Charge the breath beam while you walk so it is ready when you arrive.
Use the claw on tall towers and stomp on small things. Mixing moves clears a block faster than using one over and over.
