The street is wide, the cars are parked, and nobody is watching them. Seen from above, this car stealing game keeps it simple: walk up to any car, tap the car button and drive off. Cause enough chaos to fill a district's meter and that part of town is yours, starting with Harbor Heights. Roam on iPhone gives you a stick, a car button and a fist, and that is all you need.

How to take the city

  1. Drag the stick to move.
  2. Walk up to a car and tap the car button to steal it.
  3. Tap the fist button to punch.
  4. Cause chaos to fill the district meter.
  5. Take over Harbor Heights and move to the next district.

What it gets right

  • Steal any car you can reach
  • Districts to take over one by one
  • A top-down view of the whole street
  • Simple controls for driving and fighting

If you are looking for games like GTA

Before the big 3D cities, Grand Theft Auto started as a top-down game: a small figure, a grid of streets and every car up for grabs. Steal Every Car goes back to that view.

It is a smaller, cartoon take on the idea. There is no long story, just a city, a meter and a lot of cars. It is a game made on Roam, not a GTA game.

Tips for a car stealing game spree

Grab a car early. You cover the street much faster on wheels, and that makes it easier to keep the chaos going.

When one car is wrecked, step out and take the next. In this game every car on the street is a spare.

For short bursts of chaos

It suits players who like gta style games and simple sandbox chaos. It is quick to pick up and played solo.

The top-down view keeps the whole street in sight, so you can see the next car before you need it. It suits short sessions where you just want to cause some trouble.
