Voxel Rift gameplay on RoamPlay free now

Voxel Rift starts where every good action RPG starts: choosing who you are. Warrior, Paladin or Mage, each with its own balance of Power, Defense and Mobility. Then you go into the rift, fight through hordes of enemies and loot as you push deeper. It is one of the games like Diablo built in blocky voxel style, and you play it free in the Roam app on iPhone.

Choosing a hero and starting a run

  1. Pick a hero card: Warrior, Paladin or Mage.
  2. Compare their Power, Defense and Mobility bars before you choose.
  3. Read the three abilities on the card, such as Cleave, Whirlwind and Leap Strike.
  4. Press Play and fight through the hordes in the rift.
  5. Pick up loot and keep pushing deeper.

What makes it a proper hack and slash

  • Three classes with different strengths.
  • Named abilities with their own job, from a wide Cleave to a Leap Strike.
  • Hordes of enemies, so every ability hits a crowd.
  • Detailed voxel hero models.

Voxel Rift vs other games like Diablo

Diablo set the template for the action RPG: a class, a few strong abilities, crowds of monsters and loot falling from every fight. Voxel Rift follows that template closely. The class choice is up front, the abilities are spelled out on the hero cards, and the goal is to go deeper and come back stronger.

The look is the difference. Instead of dark gothic dungeons, everything is built from voxels, which keeps it readable on a phone screen.

Which class to pick first

Start with the bars. Power is how hard a hero hits, Defense is how much punishment they take, and Mobility is how quickly they get out of trouble. If you are new to action RPGs, a hero with more Defense gives you room for mistakes.

Then read the abilities. Moves like Cleave and Whirlwind are built to hit many enemies at once, and a Leap Strike gets you into or out of a crowd. Once you know how the hordes move, try the class you skipped and see how differently the rift plays.

Voxel Rift FAQ

Do I need to pay for Voxel Rift?

No. Voxel Rift is free in the Roam app on iPhone.

What classes are in Voxel Rift?

Three: Warrior, Paladin and Mage. Each has its own Power, Defense and Mobility, and its own set of three abilities.

Are there free games like Diablo on iPhone?

Voxel Rift is one. It has classes, abilities, hordes and loot like Diablo, in a voxel style, and you play it in Roam. It is not made by Blizzard.

Is Voxel Rift hard for beginners?

The hero cards explain each ability before you start, so you know what every button does. Picking a tougher hero for your first run makes the early hordes easier to learn.
