WAYFARE: Wildlands is a first-person voxel RPG, played in the Roam app on iPhone. Follow the yellow quest marker, swing your sword at goblins up close and switch to the bow for the ones far away. Your first quest is 1/7: defeat the goblins, 20 meters ahead.
Controls
- Push the left side to walk and drag to look.
- Tap Strike to swing your sword.
- Switch to the bow for enemies far away.
- Use jump, dash, shield and heal when a fight turns.
- Follow the yellow marker to finish each quest.

A voxel RPG built around quests
Plenty of blocky games are about building. WAYFARE: Wildlands is about adventuring. The world is made of voxels, but the loop is a classic fantasy RPG: take a quest, walk to the marker, fight, level up, take the next quest.
Seeing it in first person gives the fights some weight. Goblins come at you in the open valley, and you choose between closing in with the sword or keeping distance with the bow. The mountains and fog in the background make the vale feel bigger than it is.

Tips for the first quests
The screen has a lot of buttons, so start with just walking and Strike. Add the bow once you are comfortable. Pull goblins one at a time if you can. Use the mount to travel between quest markers.
Your HP bar, level and coins are in the top corner. Check them between fights, and heal before you walk into the next group of goblins rather than in the middle of one.
