Golf balls everywhere: on the fairway, stacked in a white pyramid, heaped by the pond. Clear The Range is a golf ball collecting game in the Roam app on iPhone, and your job is to pick up every last one. Walk through the piles to scoop them into your bag, carry the load to the shop, sell and upgrade. You start on foot with room for 45 balls and finish with tractors and a whole combine fleet sweeping the grass.

The collect and sell loop

  1. Drag to walk. Any ball you pass over goes into the bag.
  2. Watch the bag meter at the top. When it is full, head for the shop.
  3. Tap the shop button to sell and buy upgrades.
  4. Use dash to cover ground faster between piles.
  5. Keep upgrading until the whole range is clear.

Small chore, big machine

  • Hundreds of physics golf balls that roll and scatter as you move.
  • Upgrades that take you from walking to tractors to a combine fleet.
  • A sunny range with a pond, a putting green and light through the trees.
  • Coins and a ball count that climb fast once the machines arrive.

A golf ball collecting game that turns into a tycoon

It starts as a chore: one person, one bag, a field of white dots. The hook is how quickly that changes. Each sale buys more room or a faster machine, and piles that took a minute start vanishing in seconds.

That is the collect-and-upgrade loop from idle tycoon games, with one satisfying difference. You see every ball disappear, so progress is something you watch happen instead of a number ticking up in a corner.

Tips, and who it suits

Go for the dense piles first. The pyramid and the heap by the trees fill a bag far faster than loose balls on the fairway. Spend early coins on capacity before speed.

It suits anyone who likes calm, tidy goals. Nothing chases you. There is just a messy range, and a slowly emptier one.

How it compares to other idle tycoon games

In many idle tycoon games you tap a button and watch a counter. Here you walk the field yourself, and the upgrades change what you see: one figure with a bag becomes a tractor, then a line of combines eating through the white.

It is closer to a satisfying cleanup game than to a spreadsheet. If you enjoy the moment a messy screen turns clean, this is that moment on repeat.
