Sunlight pours through a crack in a sandstone temple, and a locked gate waits on the far side of the chamber. Portal Shield is a portal puzzle game with a twist of its own, played in the Roam app on iPhone. You are a gladiator, and your shield is the portal gun. Throw it at a wall to open a purple or a cyan portal, then use the pair to redirect the sunbeam onto the sun lock.

How a chamber works

Move with the joystick and drag to look around.
Tap the purple or cyan portal button, then throw your shield at a wall.
Place the two portals so the sunbeam enters one and leaves the other.
Light the sun lock to open the next chamber.
Use jump to reach ledges inside the room.

Tips for the first zone

Start with the hint: drag the view onto the sunlit spot. Find where the beam hits now, then find where the lock is. Put one portal in the beam and the other facing the lock. If it does not work, move one portal at a time.
