Bonk the Produce gameplay on RoamPlay free now

The tomatoes in Mustard Flats have legs, and a rubber-hose cat with a sausage bat is not having it. Bonk the Produce sits right next to 1930s cartoon style games: sepia shading, ink outlines and bouncy old-cartoon motion, all in the Roam app on iPhone. Drag to move, tap to bonk, dodge out of trouble and clear wave 1 of 3. Every hit lands with a fat cartoon smack.

Bonking basics

  1. Drag to move your cat around the arena.
  2. Tap bonk to swing the sausage bat.
  3. Tap dodge to get out of the way.
  4. Use the special button, the yellow ring, when tomatoes crowd in.
  5. Clear all 3 waves to finish level 1-1.

What makes it stand out

  • A sepia 1930s cartoon look with ink outlines
  • A sausage bat and walking tomatoes, exactly as silly as it sounds
  • Juicy hits, a dodge and a special move
  • Short waves with a health bar and a score

For fans of 1930s cartoon style games

If you liked the hand-drawn look of Cuphead, the style here will click: pie-eyed hero, rubber-hose arms and a sepia filter. The character is original, a cat with a sausage, not a borrowed mascot.

The gameplay is different from Cuphead. It is not a run-and-gun boss rush. It is a small arena brawler where waves of produce walk in and you bonk them back out.

Tips for level 1-1

Do not stand still. Tomatoes come at you from several sides, so bonk, step and bonk again.

Save the special for a crowd. One well-timed burst clears a group in one go, while single swings are better for stragglers.

Light, silly and quick

Players who love old cartoons and want something light. It is silly on purpose: a cat, a sausage and tomatoes that walk. If you are tired of grey, gritty brawlers, the sepia look is a nice change.

It also suits short sessions. A wave takes a minute or two, the goal is on screen, and you only need move, bonk and dodge to get started. The special is a bonus once you are comfortable.
