Play free nowWelcome to the lists: striped tents, fences, a watching crowd and a trainer named Pete who shows you the ropes. Iron Lists is a medieval fighting game you play in the Roam app on iPhone, built around close-range duels. One stick moves you, the other swings your weapon, and two buttons handle kicks and dodges. Once training ends, the skull counter starts tracking your wins.
Twin-stick dueling
- Use the left stick to move around the tournament field.
- Push the right stick to swing your weapon.
- Tap Kick to shove an opponent back, and tap Dodge to slip out of a hit.
- Watch your health and stamina bars and win the duel.
Why the duels work
- Twin-stick melee: one stick to move, one to swing
- Kicks and dodges for real back-and-forth fights
- A tournament ground with tents, fences and a crowd
- A short training with Pete before the first fight, with a Skip button
If you like For Honor
For Honor made medieval duels about reading your opponent. Iron Lists has the same spirit in a lighter form: you trade swings, kick to make space and dodge when a hit is coming.
You do not need to learn guard directions. The right stick does the swinging, so the fights are fast to pick up on a touch screen.
Medieval fighting game tips
Stamina matters. If you swing nonstop, you will run dry right when you need a dodge. Strike, step back, and let the opponent come to you.
Use the kick when an opponent gets too close. It pushes them back and buys you a moment to line up a clean swing.
Four inputs, real duels
Players who like fighting games with weapons more than fists. The duels are short, so you can play a few rounds while you wait for something. The first step of training is simple: walk up to Pete with the left stick.
It is also a good fit if full fighting games feel hard to learn. There are only four inputs: move, swing, kick and dodge. Everything else is timing and reading what your opponent does next.
