Hunt 1 is called First Blood, and the banner gives you the rule: be the last squad standing. Last Squad Standing belongs with squad shooter games, seen from above and played in the Roam app on iPhone. You lead a small squad through a field of tall grass, swap weapons, reload, dodge and shoot down rival squads until none are left. The squad counter at the top shows how many teams are still alive.

How a hunt plays out

Drag on the left to move your squad.
Use the fire button to aim and shoot.
Tap dodge to roll out of fire, and reload when the 30-round mag empties.
Swap weapons to fit the range.
Wipe out every rival squad to win the hunt.

If you like Surviv.io or Brawl Stars

Surviv.io showed that a battle royale works just fine from above. Brawl Stars made tall grass the place where fights are won. Last Squad Standing puts both ideas on one field.

The twist is the squad. You are not alone, so the fights feel like team skirmishes: two squads meet in the grass and one walks out.

Tips for squad shooter games in tall grass

Stay in the grass until you see an enemy. Shooting from cover gives you the first hits.

Reload between fights, not during them. A full mag when the next squad shows up is often the difference between winning and losing the hunt. Use dodge to break line of fire, then reposition in the grass.

Shorter than a full battle royale

Players who like battle royale games but want a shorter match. A hunt is a few squad fights in one field, not a long drop and loot.

It suits players who like to think about cover. The grass is the main tool, and patience pays more than spraying bullets.
