The title card says two heads are better than one, and then the board appears: a bright voxel grass diorama with a tunnel dug through it. Snipworm is a worm puzzle game in the Roam app on iPhone. Swipe to wriggle your two-headed worm through the tunnel and reach the apple and the heart marked with arrows. Restart and Undo sit in the corner for when you box yourself in.

How to wriggle

  1. Swipe, or use the d-pad, to move the worm one step.
  2. Keep both heads in mind when you plan a move.
  3. Reach the apple and the heart marked with arrows.
  4. Tap Undo to take back a move, or Restart to try the level again.

What makes it a good puzzle

  • A two-headed worm, a small twist on the classic snake
  • Undo and Restart, so you can experiment freely
  • A bright voxel grass diorama
  • Coins to collect along the way

If you like Snakebird or Apple Worm

Snakebird and Apple Worm showed that a snake on a grid makes a great puzzle piece: it is long, it cannot pass through itself, and every move changes the shape you have to work with.

Snipworm adds a second head. That means more options per move, and also more ways to tie yourself in a knot. The apple and the heart are both marked with arrows, so the goal is never unclear.

Worm puzzle game tips

Look at the whole tunnel before the first swipe. Find the tight spots and plan how the worm will fit through them. The worm cannot pass through itself, so leave room behind it.

Use Undo freely. The fastest way to solve a level is often to try an idea, undo it and try another.

A quiet thinking game

Players who like quiet, thinking games. Nothing moves until you do, and there is no clock on the board.

It is also a good fit for short sessions. Each board is small, and a solved level feels like a clean little click in your head. The bright grass diorama keeps it cheerful even when you are stuck.
