Tack & Plunder is a pirate ship game in the Roam app on iPhone, where you steer a voxel galleon with a ship's wheel and set your sails to the wind. A compass and a sail state such as BEAM REACH tell you how well you are catching it. Out on open water, enemy ships with grappling ropes come after you.

How to sail

Drag the ship's wheel to steer.
Use the sail and wind buttons to trim your sails.
Tap turn left or turn right for sharper turns.
Watch the compass and your speed, and keep away from ships trying to grapple you.

Tacking means zigzagging into the wind. If your speed drops, change your angle instead of pushing straight ahead.

Keep your speed up when enemy ships close in, and turn early rather than late. A big galleon does not spin on the spot.
