Play free nowA tall brick chimney stands on a helipad at dusk, and you have a hammer with a small number of swings. Brute force loses in this building demolition game: hit the wrong bricks and the tower just stands there. Tap a block, your worker walks up and swings, and you watch the lean. Each tower is a short level in the Roam app on iPhone, played against a timer and a swing count.
How to bring it down
- Walk around the tower with the joystick.
- Tap a block to walk up and hit it with the hammer.
- Break blocks on one side so the tower starts to lean.
- Topple it before your swings or the timer run out.
- Clear the level to get a fresh tower and a new set of swings.
What makes the collapse land
- Real physics collapse when the right blocks go
- A limited number of hammer swings every level
- A timer and a score bar to beat
- A dusk sky that makes the fall look good
A building demolition game that is really a puzzle
You are not smashing until things fall. You get a handful of swings, so each one has to change how the chimney balances. Take out the base on one side and gravity does the rest.
That makes each level a small physics question. Where is the weight, and which brick is holding it up? Get it right and the whole stack tips over in one satisfying fall.
Tips for your first towers
Walk around before you swing. A block that looks important from the front may not be carrying anything.
Work on one side only. Hitting both sides tends to leave a thinner tower that still stands, and you run out of swings.
How it compares to other demolition games
Many demolition games give you explosives and let you level a city. Wrecking Tap keeps it to one structure and one hammer, so it is calmer and more about thinking than spectacle.
If you want a demolition game that asks you to think for a few seconds before each swing, and pays you back with a clean collapse, this is the one. A level takes a minute or two, so it works well on a short break.
