Hold the line: that is the whole order. You stand in a neon corridor under an aurora sky, rifle up, while the gate at the far end glows orange before the first wave comes through. Shoot, lob a grenade into the crowd, reload, and do it again for the next wave. Sector 03 is a wave based fps built for touch screens, and you play it in the Roam app on iPhone.

Move with the stick on the left.
Drag on the right side of the screen to aim.
Tap fire to shoot and the grenade button to throw.
Reload when the clip runs low.
Survive each wave to move on to the next one.

What a wave based fps run feels like

Each wave starts quiet. You get a moment on Stand By, then enemies push toward you and the room gets loud. Clear them and the next wave starts.

There is no map to explore and no long story to follow. It is one corridor and your aim, which makes it easy to pick up for a few waves at a time.

Tips for your first waves

Throw grenades at groups, not at single enemies. You start with two, so they are for the moments when the corridor fills up.

Reload between waves, not during them. A full clip at the start of a wave saves you from running dry at the worst time. And keep your crosshair near the stairs and the gate, since that is where trouble comes from.

A good fit for quick sessions

Shooter fans who want a quick fight with no setup. You load in, the gate opens and the score starts counting.

It is also a fair first FPS on a phone. The corridor keeps enemies in front of you, so you can learn to aim without worrying about your back.
