You start the race in 4th place out of 6, with 4.2 km of winding tropical water channel ahead and one goal: reach the finish. Surf Rider is a surfing game in the Roam app on iPhone, built as a race. Carve left and right to steer, follow the coin lines, and jump over floating logs. Rivals ride their own wakes next to you, so every bend is a chance to pass.

How to ride

Drag on the left to carve and steer.
Tap jump to hop logs and obstacles.
Follow the coin lines. They guide you down the channel.
Pass the other 5 riders and reach the finish first.
Watch your position at the top. You start 4th of 6.

Aquapark.io made sliding races against a crowd a mobile hit. Surf Rider keeps the race and the rivals, but swaps the slide for an open water channel and a board.

Because it is a channel and not a tube, you have more room to pick a line, and jumps over logs add a second skill on top of steering. Racing five riders on open water also means more overtakes, since there is room to go around.

Surfing game tips for the channel

Coins are there to guide you, so riding over them keeps you on a good line and pays you for it.

Jump early rather than late. A missed log costs more time than a jump you did not need. And pass on the bends, where rivals swing wide.
