What river tubing games get right

Floating down a river on a tube is one of summer's simple joys. Games about it turn that into a race. Toot Rapids adds the silliest possible boost button, and suddenly the whole thing is a party game. The current is always pulling you forward, so the job is to steer well and toot at the right time.

It is lighter than whitewater rafting games, with no paddling to learn.

Tips for the fastest ride

Toot on straights, not before bends. A boost into a rock wastes it.

Stay in the middle of the river where the current is fastest. Hugging the bank slows you down and puts you near rocks.

Learn the course on your first run. Once you know where the bends and rocks are, you can toot right before each straight and pull away.

Who it is for

Kids, families and anyone who likes party racing games with a sense of humor. It is cute, quick and easy to understand in one look. If you like water slide games and silly animal racers, this is in the same lane, and a race is short enough to play a few in a row.
