Play Totally A Sheep

Good dog. Bad sheep. Find them.

Free on iPhone in the Roam app. Android coming soon.

You start as the sheepdog on a bright voxel pasture, and the banner gives you the job: round 1 of 8, catch 2 wolves hiding in the flock. It is a wolf in sheep's clothing game played in the Roam app on iPhone, with a 75-second timer and a flock that never stops moving. Walk up to a suspect, sniff it, and pounce when you are sure. A ring marks the first wolf so you learn the trick, then you are on your own.

Controls and goal

Drag on the left side of the screen to walk the dog through the pasture.
Walk up to a sheep and tap Sniff to check it.
Three action buttons sit on the right: sniff, pounce (the paw) and bark (the megaphone).
Catch the number of wolves the counter asks for before the 75-second timer hits zero.
Clear a round to move on. There are 8 rounds.

What makes it different

You are the detective and the dog, a funny spin on hidden-impostor games
A big flock of moving sheep, with a pond and fences on the pasture
A cone of vision that shows where your dog is looking
A wolf counter, a timer and a score at the top of the screen

A wolf in sheep's clothing game you play as the dog

Most impostor games are about people in a room. Here the room is a field and the suspects are sheep. The wolves look almost right, so you have to slow down, get close and check before you pounce.

That small pause is the whole game. Go too fast and you pounce on the wrong sheep. Go too slow and the clock wins, while the flock drifts and you lose track of which sheep you already checked.

Tips for round one

Follow the ringed sheep first. The game marks the first wolf so you can learn the sniff and pounce timing without pressure.

After that, sweep the flock in one direction instead of zigzagging. Use the pond and the fences as landmarks so you remember which part of the field you already covered, and glance at the wolf counter to see how many are left.
