Turbo Nerds gameplay on RoamPlay free now

Turbo Nerds puts goblins and cats behind the wheels of junk karts and sends them racing through a cartoon medieval town. Tap to start and you are in. It joins the cartoon kart racing games that make racing about personality as much as speed: the drivers are the joke and the karts look like they came from a scrapyard. You play it free in the Roam app on iPhone.

Getting on the track

  1. Tap the title screen to start.
  2. Race your junk kart through the streets of a cartoon medieval town.
  3. Beat the rest of the wacky field to the finish.

What gives it character

  • A cast of goblin and cat drivers instead of plain cars.
  • Junk karts with a homemade look.
  • A cartoon medieval town as the race setting.
  • Bright painted key art that sets the silly tone before the first race.

If you like Mario Kart

Mario Kart is the standard for kart racing: cartoon drivers, colorful tracks and races where anyone can win. Most kart games since then borrow that mix, and Turbo Nerds does too. It leans into the silly side with goblins, cats and karts that look ready to fall apart.

Where Mario Kart has a famous cast from Nintendo, Turbo Nerds has its own oddballs. The medieval town setting gives it a different look from the usual candy-colored circuits, with old streets instead of rainbow roads.

Why cartoon kart racing games suit a phone

A kart race is short, easy to follow and fun to watch even when you lose. That fits a phone well: one race on a break, another when you have a minute.

Kart racing also works for players who do not like serious racing sims. There is no tuning or gearbox, just driving, and the fun is in the chaos of the pack.

Turbo Nerds keeps that spirit: quick to start, silly to look at, and easy to replay when a race goes badly.
